Gala concert Diocesan festival-competition of Orthodox chants "Glory to God in the highest"

In order to revive, preserve and develop the Orthodox singing culture, the Diocesan Festival-Contest of Orthodox Chants "Glory to God in the highest" is held annually in the Palace of Culture of the city of Lida. Traditionally, children, adults, church, secular and educational choral groups, vocal ensembles and solo performers take part in the festival-competition. Not only church chants are heard from the stage, but also works of spiritual themes, musical works to the words of Belarusian poets and composers, author's performances of the contestants themselves. In 2016, the festival received the status of interdiocesan and annually expands its geographical boundaries.
